3rd September 2008 Windsurfing: Farmoor reservoir Wind Direction: SW Wind Stength: F4-F7 Surf / Sea State: Air Temperature: Sea Temperature: Weather: Gusty Max Speed: Distance Covered: Started off on techno and 7.6 for about 40 mins. Planed off the beach and feet didn't leave the footstraps.Wind picked up so changed down to 6.5 for about 20 mins. Decided to christen the Syncro then. Spent the next 4 hours having a ball. wind ws a bit up and down. Couple of big squalls came through which gave insane F7 winds which I sat out as was too much (pissing down with rain with it which was painful on the face). Wind died for about 15 mins after they blew through but picked up again both times. Was basically well powered most of the time part from the odd lull. Fallen in love with my new Syncro. realy nice board. I even sailed it just after the sqalls hit (no wind) just to see what it was like and it was fine (but a little submerged) Giving 4 stars as there were a few lulls nd was a bit gusty, but had an excellent time really ;-) |
